The dishcloth  is made out of cotton yarn and measures 7.25" square (ish).  I crochet by hand, so sometimes the measurements can be a little off.  When I laundered my dishcloths with traditional detergent and fabric softener, the colors didn't change.  Now that I'm using natural detergent and fabric softeners, the colors do tend to fade a little bit.
